I’ve been on tour right now with the band Little Ruckus for two weeks. We’ve been to Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Alabama, and Florida. My wanderlust is therefore currently fulfilled. But my need for Bjork is never satisfied. “Relentlessly craving wanderluuuuuust!”

Just… just…. so magical. He sings in an impossibly thick French accent, approaches drama fearlessly in his music, and has tattoos of Medieval keys. And combines slow-mo animals with Agnes Deyne, a creepy child, beautiful cloud-filled skies, warriors, and… and… I literally MUST cry out “TO BATTLE! TO BATTLE! TO BATTLE!” every time I watch this. Ok so here’s how this went down. I started writing songs on GarageBand for fun and pretty much my ears only. Then my friend, the unnervingly, uncompromisingly creative Dominic offered to make a music video for one of my “ambient” tracks. I proceeded to spend a couple of days without blinking, as the computer and I slowly melded together and basically had sex. Finally I said ENOUGH! as my obsession started to become a bigger part of me than my actual self. Off the track went to Dom, who then made a YouTube collage for my song. Here it is. Now if only I could stop hearing glitchy computer noises instead of voices when people talk to me.

Well, this is special. It’s like walking into an old storybook full of Christmas magic. How does she pull this off? I thought making a Christmas album was impossible to do without seeming like such a nerd. Unless you’re Rosemary Clooney or something. And then to make a video too and have it be so dramatic and haunting AND full of Christmas cheer? Props, Annie.
